Good afternoon, My GoPro 9 has a similar problem, i followed the manual factory reset (3 times) but the main problem remain. Right after the reset, everything looks perfect but once i turn off the gopro and let it rest for a couple of hours, the main screen remain black. Try switching from the 'SuperView' lens type, to any other option available in the GoPro desktop app (located in your OS tray). For Windows bottom right arrow, right click GoPro icon and select a different lens type; For Mac top right, same process. I just tested the 'Wide' lens type for a 2hr session in OBS with no hiccups.
