Its like the PC is not reading a battery at all. Which is weird because CPUID HW picks it up and the computer seems to be pretending. If pinhole is present, press into the hole for 5 s with a bent paper clip without a sheath. Then press the on/off switch continuously for 20 s.
May2014. My V5-571 is just over 1 year old and is very sparingly used. Recently I see that the battery is not charging. It says "0% available (plugged in, not charging)". However, battery indicator on the taskbar does momentarily show "charging" for a second or so.

It can be a simple driver issue sometimes. hold windows key and X. go to device manager>>>go to battery drivers>>>right click and uninstall the drivers. dont delete the driver. restart the computer. if possible try with adaptor drivers also. if its still not working then try a factory reset. Accept if its Helpful.
